MARYVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 30 (UPI) — Support services company Vanquish Worldwide has received a $10.2 million contract to remove U.S. military equipment and supplies fromAfghanistan.
The National Afghan Trucking contract is a supplemental award to a current agreement to the U.S. Central Command.
“We are honored to assist the U.S. government in its retrograde mission and look forward to continuing our successful track record of on time missions with no cargo loss,” said Matt Naugher, transportation manager of Vanquish Worldwide. “Vanquish has an incomparable history of success in providing movement and logistical support in Afghanistan, and we continue to use our experience and expertise to provide the highest level of services during this time of retrograde.”
Vanquish Worldwide, headquartered in Tennessee, has been distributing cargo to more than 400 forward operating bases in Afghanistan since 2011. Its fleet of 1,260 vehicles in Afghanistan has delivered millions of gallons of fuel, 78,000 tons of dry goods and 61,000 tons of heavy equipment.
