KINGSPORT, Tenn., July 21, 2026 – Vanquish Worldwide has made a contribution to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, continuing the company’s longstanding support of educational opportunities for the children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen.
For more than a decade, Vanquish Worldwide and its President and CEO, Dr. Eric W. Barton, have supported the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation through charitable giving and the Vanquish Worldwide Scholarship, established in 2013. The scholarship reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to investing in the education of military families.
Founded in 1962, the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides need-based scholarships to the children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen. As the cost of higher education continues to rise, the Foundation continues to expand access to educational opportunities for military families. For the 2026–2027 academic year, the Foundation will award $12.6 million in scholarships to 2,906 Marine Scholars, while the need for support continues to grow.
This year’s Vanquish Worldwide Scholarship recipient is Tabitha Himsworth of Jacksonville, North Carolina. Himsworth, the daughter of Master Sergeant Ronald W. Himsworth, USMC, is pursuing a degree in Music Education at East Carolina University.
Himsworth expressed her gratitude for receiving the Vanquish Worldwide Scholarship.
“I want to thank everyone who has made it possible for me to attend the university of my dreams,” Himsworth said. “My family was unable to receive any financial aid from the government this year, so this scholarship will help my family tremendously. Your support keeps a huge weight off our shoulders, allowing me to continue focusing on my studies rather than worrying about my family’s financial situation.”
Education has long been a passion of Dr. Eric W. Barton, President and CEO of Vanquish Worldwide. A retired U.S. Marine Corps captain, Barton has long been passionate about supporting educational opportunities for military families. Under his leadership, Vanquish has supported the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation through annual contributions, the Vanquish Worldwide Scholarship endowment, and participation in Foundation events over the years.
“Education has the power to transform lives, and we’re proud to continue supporting the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation as it invests in the future of Marine Scholars,” Barton said. “By helping ease financial barriers, we’re investing in students whose resilience, determination and commitment reflect the values their families have demonstrated through military service.”
By supporting organizations like the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Vanquish Worldwide remains committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of military families while helping create opportunities for the next generation to succeed.
