MARYVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Vanquish Worldwide, LLC, an international company providing worldwide support services to the US Government and the commercial market sector, has been awarded the second option period for their prime contract issued by the US Central Command for National Afghan Trucking (NAT). NAT is one of the largest transportation contracts in Afghanistan and vital to the US bases throughout the country.
Vanquish Worldwide, the only small business performing on the contract, distributes reconstruction material, security equipment, fuel, miscellaneous dry cargo, and life support assets on more than 400 forward operating bases.
After completing the base year of NAT and the first option year, Vanquish has proven itself to be a leader in the transportation and logistical services sector in the harsh environment of Afghanistan. More than 14,000 truck movements and 1,500,000 miles were driven from September 2011 through June 2013 in some of the most dangerous areas of the country with no loss of cargo. This is a remarkable occurrence and it can be attributed to the experienced management, qualified private security guards and the drivers who are very well versed in the terrain and the more prominent areas where insurgents stage themselves for attack. Vanquish’s security personnel are equipped with heavy machine guns, appropriate body armor, and are trained in the Use of Force regulations.
“I could not be more pleased with the job our employees have done to make the execution of this challenging contract successful. It is a true example of team work and the desire to successfully execute the US Government’s mission,” said Eric W. Barton, president and CEO of Vanquish Worldwide.
Vanquish’s Afghanistan-wide mission-critical contract directly supports US troops at Forward Operating Bases in the war zone by providing supplies they need to successfully execute their mission. Vanquish Worldwide provides all management, security and logistics support resources necessary to pick up material and equipment at origin and deliver material and equipment to destination. To help ensure their employees and cargo arrive safely, each mission is tracked by the Vanquish Tactical Operations Center (TOC) professionals utilizing a multi-million dollar state of the art global positioning system.
During the last few years, Vanquish has been fortunate to expand our business to three countries and nine states. To support their growing operations the company plans to move to a new location that will support their vision of continued expansion in the transportation and logistics industry with a 17,000 sq/ft facility that will allow for continuing education and training classes as well as ample space for trucking assets and warehouse materials. This move is expected by mid October of 2013.
Vanquish is a verified service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) with significant experience working in combat theaters and developing nations as well as other austere environments. Their services include construction, life support, manpower, security, vehicle maintenance, and transportation.
