KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 14 (UPI) — Operations and maintenance services at an Iraq’s Basra International Airport will be performed for the U.S. Department of State by Vanquish Worldwide.
Services for the Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service will include onsite services such as training of contractor and host nation personnel, movement of personnel and equipment, contractor logistics support, HVAC, plumbing, construction, security, electrical system maintenance and waste management.
The company will also involve the supply of essential equipment for the project.
“Our team looks forward to expanding Vanquish’s footprint of overseas support for U.S. government operations in Iraq,” said Vanquish President and Chief Executive Officer Eric W. Barton.
Vanquish, which has headquarters in Tennessee, provides and manages life support, manpower, security projects overseas, especially in the Middle East and Africa. Its overseas offices are located in Afghanistan, Uganda and Iraq.
The length of the contract wasn’t provided. The company described the contract as a multimillion-dollar award but gave no other financial details.
